Seattle Airport extends contract for Telos ID’s biometric background screening

Government agency the Port of Seattle has extended the contract with identity management provider Telos ID to optimize aviation workers’ background check process at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), the company announced.

Telos ID’s Transportation Security Administration (TSA)-approved Designated Aviation Channeling (DAC) services build data trust, reduce cost and optimize credentialing operations, the company says. DAC services enable submissions of workers’ biographic and biometric data to conduct background checks, and subscriptions to the FBI Rap Back program if working in high security areas. Rap Back is a service of the FBI’s NGI program that sends authorized entities ongoing status alerts of any criminal history reported on individuals in positions of trust, such as school teachers or aviation workers.

Having provided these services since 2016, the contract with Telos ID now extends the partnership for the next 10 years. FULL ARTICLE
