Adam Almeida, CEO of Waltham, MA-based tenant screening solution TenantScreeningUSA.com recently released a statement articulating that accurately screening tenants will continue to be difficult going forward.

“Landlords and property managers should remain diligent with tenant screening policies, especially as the COVID-19 pandemic continues, and working with a well-qualified third-party tenant screening agency, such as TenantScreeningUSA.com, remains a best practice to stay compliant with law,” said Almeida.

As the pandemic continues, the potential for ongoing confusion around evictions is expected to remain due to quickly changing laws and governance. In late July, congressional Democrats introduced legislation to address a blanket stay on evictions. Without a federal ban on evictions, housing advocates have warned of a “tsunami of evictions.” FULL MESSAGE
